Ours Learn to Swim Program is tailored to teach children fundamental swimming skills and perfect stroke technique. Classes are kept small so that each child receives personalized attention from our certified instructors.
At our heated indoor facility, your child can get comfortable in the water without any fear of getting cold. Furthermore, our ozone swim water purification system removes harmful chemicals, organics and odours from the water.
Star Swim Schools have been teaching children to become safe, confident swimmers since 1998.
They offer a wide selection of classes to choose from, such as parent/child bubble classes and small-group skill lessons for kids. Plus, they host an outdoor summer pool intensive in Wallingford from July 5th until August 11th.
Each student will begin their class with a skills evaluation to place them into an appropriate class within the Y Swim Lesson Continuum (Swim Starters, Preschool & School Age). Group classes are separated according to age and skill level so your child can participate with others of similar ability level.
Once children pass the green swim benchmark, they are eligible to join Star Stroke School where they will hone their freestyle stroke and learn backstroke, butterfly, breaststroke and endurance. Additionally, students will become acquainted with side breathing in order to enhance their freestyle technique.
Swimming is an excellent way to introduce your child to the sport of swimming and provide them with a chance to interact with other students their age who are also learning how to swim. Plus, participating in swim races encourages competitive drive amongst students while creating healthy competition!
Our Baby Swimming Lessons
Stars Swim Schools’ infant and baby swimming lessons are tailored to foster parent-child bonding while teaching the fundamentals of water safety. Our parent and child style classes use various toys to capture their attention, along with songs and stories that will motivate them to learn the fundamentals of swimming in an enjoyable atmosphere.
These lessons teach the fundamentals of breath control, flotation and pushing off the wall.
Our toddler swim school provides children between the ages of three and five with fundamental swimming skills through fun games and activities that make coming to class an exciting experience. Additionally, we offer a program for older children (ages six and up) that builds upon these foundations.

Starfish Aquatics program is a pioneering swim school that provides small group classes for all ages and abilities in an inviting, safe setting. The curriculum emphasizes water safety, survival skills and foundational swimming abilities at multiple levels of proficiency.
Each adult class is taught by a certified instructor trained in water safety, emergency medical response and swimming techniques. Every lesson includes instruction on basic water safety techniques such as rescue breathing, kicking and arm stroke technique.
At our swimming school, group lessons are broken down by age and skill level so that no matter when you start your lessons, your child will join a group on the same level. This allows your child to make progress more quickly and develop their skills more rapidly!
Our Water Safety Program
